Rochedale is an outer suburb, 17 km south-east of the Brisbane CBD. It is a 2 minute drive to the M1, Gateway and Ipswich exits.

The first settlers began farming the area’s fertile alluvial soil in 1865. It was named after the homestead built by the Roche family, who settled in the area from Ireland, in 1868.

Rochedale backs into the Priest Gully, prompting the creation of a wildlife corridor to preserve the local flora and fauna.

The population is expected to grow significantly to more than 17,000 over 15 to 20 years because of The Rochedale Urban Community Development, a council-approved project to convert bush and farm lands into housing estates.

This peaceful and quiet suburb is one of the best places to purchase large acreage of land. There are many big mansions and estates sitting on 1, 2 and even 20-acres of land, and there’s a few that looks like small private resorts.

Rochedale is near the suburbs of Rochedale South and Mackenzie.

There are many lovely parks scattered throughout the suburb where people can enjoy a range of facilities such as playgrounds, picnic grounds, bikeways, walkways, and more. Aspire Street Park, Cockatoo Place Park, Kookaburra Circuit Park, Pask Family Park and Redfers Avenue Reserve are just some of these parks and reserves.

Extremely friendly, prompt and responsive. Really lovely to have a real estate agent who seems to value tenants as much as landlords!

Everything! Location - very quiet, quick easy access to bushland, lovely home in good condition. Pet friendly with good fence and yard!

The only things we would adjust is putting a hills hoist in the side yard directly out from the laundry. And installing an electric garage door to allow easy access.
