Mackenzie is a tiny suburb in south-east Brisbane, located 13 km from the CBD.

A notable geographical feature in the suburb is Mount Petrie, a small mountain where can get great views of Brisbane and Moreton Bay from its peak.

Two churches are located within the suburb, as well as several residential estates with hundreds of new homes constructed over the past decade.

Nearby suburbs are Belmont, Carindale, Mansfield, Rochedale, Upper Mount Gravatt, Wishart, Burbank and Chandler.

LEISURE AND SHOPPING

There are several parks in the suburb – Gainsborough Avenue Park, Mt Petrie Road Park, Mt Petrie Road (no. 386), Taylor Place Park and Oak Place Park. Mount Petrie Road features the Mackenzie Bushland. Other facilities on offer in these parks include playground, picnic area, electric barbeque equipment, basketball hoop and shared pathway.

Mackenzie has no large or small shopping centre. But it is near Carindale Westfield Shopping Centre, and Wishart Shopping Village and Civic Fair Shopping Centre in Wishart.

Extremely friendly, prompt and responsive. Really lovely to have a real estate agent who seems to value tenants as much as landlords!

Everything! Location - very quiet, quick easy access to bushland, lovely home in good condition. Pet friendly with good fence and yard!

The only things we would adjust is putting a hills hoist in the side yard directly out from the laundry. And installing an electric garage door to allow easy access.
