Camp Hill is a suburb of Brisbane, located 6 km from the CBD.
This mostly residential suburb is believed to have received its name from teamsters who camped at a waterhole close to Whites Hill while going to and from Brisbane and Cleveland.
Today, it is a quiet, green suburb that attracts young families, retirees and even young professionals. Some portions in the suburb offer amazing views, including the city and beyond.
It is a small suburb but it is conveniently located between suburbs that offer all the other wonderful facilities. This means the area is not filled with all of these facilities, but residents have an easy access to them.
Camp Hill is bordered by Carina, Carina Heights, Carindale, Coorparoo, Morningside, Norman Park and Seven Hills.
LEISURE AND SHOPPING
Located in the “Whites Hill” area, Samuel Village Shopping Centre features a Woolworths, a Beer Wine Spirits and a few smaller shops. You can also find a few smaller shops along Old Cleveland Rd also.
Camp Hill is home to a number of parks and a reserve. Whites Hill Reserve contains Boolimba, Leo Patinakis Oval, Pine Mountain Reserve, Robbie Williams Sport and Recreation Reserve, Ron Hall Oval and Sankeys Mountain. The parks offer the usual facilities including picnic areas, playground, barbeque equipment, etc.
A bowls club is located on Ferguson Road.
