Australia’s Most Affordable and Most Expensive Suburbs

According to the latest figures released by RENT, median rents for both apartments and houses in Australia remained stable at $430/week and $420/week, respectively, in August 2017.

However, median rent in Darwin declined 8% to $460/week, even though the market in general was steady.

All capital cities except Brisbane showed improvement in time on market. But Hobart had the highest decline, falling 35% to 10.9 days.

Perth’s real estate market may be on the rebound, with median rent for apartments rising 3.2% to $320/week.
